AdipoLABs Signs Clinical Research Cooperation Agreement with Seoul St. Mary's Hospital : 2017.10.16

Advanced Institute for Radiation Fusion Medical Technology(AIRFMT) of the Catholic University and AdipoLABs signed an MOU on Oct 15th.

Advanced Institute for Radiation Fusion Medical Technology(AIRFMT) at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, Catholic University of Korea, announced on the 16th that they signed an MOU with AdipoLABs Co., Ltd., a medical device manufacturer, for clinical research on cancer treatment using high-frequency heat cancer treatment device.

The signing ceremony held at the Catholic University of Seoul, Seoul St. Mary's Hospital. Dr. Hong-Seok Jang, Department of Radiation Oncology, Director of AIRFMT, and Sung-ho Han, CEO of AdipoLABs, signed the agreement

The two organizations decided to promote research and technology development activities with conducting joint research and development of medical technology and medical devices, personnel exchanges, joint utilization and support of facilities and equipment, exchange of information and publications, and other areas of mutual interest.

In addition, it will be conducted research study on the effect and efficacy of hyperthermia treatment for cancer patients with high-frequency hyperthermia cancer treatment device (REMISSION 1 ℃) licensed by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety(KFDA).

By studying the effects of heat generated on the human's core body and the effects of immunotherapy, it is anticipating that a new window of cancer treatment will be opened in the future.

This MOU’s R&D equipment, REMISSION 1 ℃, is a high-frequency hyperthermia medical device developed with Korean technology. It conducts deep heat inside the human body by penetrating high-frequency of 0.46MHz, and it can kill cancer cells of organs near the skin as well as deep organs inside the human body.
