Kim Jin-su, advisory member of the International Virus Research Alliance (Food Today editorial director):

-What kind of organization is the International Virus Research Alliance (IVRA)?

The International Virus Research Alliance (IVRA) is an organization of medical experts formed to exchange joint research results and information among members in order to solve each country's problems for the treatment of COVID-19 by collaborating with various countries to end the COVID-19 pandemic. .

-What will be introduced at today’s conference?

To treat COVID-19, a treatment was discovered by applying the principle that “Heat (hyperthermia) treatment is effective in viral infection.”

As a result of treatment of 20 patients, the average Ct value after treatment for the E gene was 32.63, the average value for the RdRP S gene was 33.18, and the average value for the N gene was 33.24. This result is evaluated as statistically significant.

For reference, the Ct value presented by Korea's quarantine authorities is 35 to 40, which is the standard for dividing positive and negative, but considering that the global negative standard is 29.5 or less, all post-treatment results obtained in this clinical trial were above 32, which is significant. It is evaluated that there is.

In a situation where there is currently no cure, if treatment and research are carried out simultaneously by expanding this globally, it will be possible to eliminate the contagiousness of mild coronavirus patients and asymptomatic coronavirus positive people and allow them to return to life at an early stage.

- What role will the International Virus Research Alliance(IVRA) play in the future?

With Korea IVRA at the center, we plan to widely distribute this treatment to member countries and continue to conduct treatment and research. We also plan to provide high-frequency hyperthermia device used in treatment to IVRA member countries.
